Renumber Items Within a Category
This function allows you to reassign item numbers within a category, starting from a specific number. It helps maintain a clear and structured order.
How It Works:
Select the desired category.
Enter a starting number (e.g., 1, 10, or any other positive number).
The system will assign consecutive numbers to the items in the category, starting with the entered number.
Example:
If the starting number is set to 5, the renumbering will be as follows:
Item | Old Number | New Number |
Pizza Margherita | 2 | 5 |
Spaghetti Bolognese | 3 | 6 |
Caesar Salad | 5 | 7 |
2. Reset Item Numbers
If item numbers need to be removed, they can be reset to zero for an entire category.
How It Works:
Select the desired category.
The system removes all assigned numbers in this category.
3. Use Cases
To reorganize the order of items within a category.
To ensure consistent numbering after menu updates.
To remove all numbers and start fresh.
4. Error Handling
The starting number must be a positive number (e.g., 1, 2, 3 β¦).
If no items exist in the category, an error message will be displayed.
